Healthcare career hiring event to be held at Holston Valley Medical Center

An upcoming hiring event seeks to fill several full-time clinical and non-clinical positions across the Appalachian Highlands.

From noon to 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 16, Ballad Health leaders will be on hand at Holston Valley Medical Center, 130 W. Ravine Road, Kingsport, in the hospital’s Heritage Conference Room to match hopeful job seekers to open roles within the organization.

A variety of clinical and non-clinical jobs are available. Key roles being sought at Holston Valley include registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, surgical techs, telemetry techs, radiologic techs, engineering techs and facilities management, MRI techs, and transporters. Additionally, Wexford House, also located in Kingsport, is hiring for respiratory therapists, licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants.

During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with hiring managers, learn more about available roles and potentially receive a job offer on the spot. Applicants are encouraged to bring their resumes and come ready to interview.

“We want to create opportunities to connect with passionate individuals who share our dedication to healing and compassion,” said Rebecca Beck, CEO of Holston Valley Medical Center and Indian Path Community Hospital.

“Hosting this hiring event is not just about filling positions; it's about holistically building a team that will continually raise the quality of care we provide. Our teams are already providing top-notch care across the Appalachian Highlands, and we’re looking for passionate, talented individuals to continue elevating that level of care.”

Ballad Health offers competitive pay and benefits along with opportunities for professional growth and development. The Ballad Health benefits package includes medical, dental and vision insurance, prescription drug coverage, short-term and long-term disability, a health savings account, a retirement plan, counseling and a flexible spending account.

Additionally, Ballad Health team members enjoy voluntary benefits such as critical illness, accident, disability and pet insurance plans in addition to group discounts at many local, regional and national retailers.

“Quality healthcare is only made possible by the hands of a quality team, and we’re lucky enough to be in a region full of compassionate, talented people who are well-equipped to serve our community with the quality healthcare they deserve,” Beck said. “From direct care to admissions and patient experience, every person on our team is a vital piece of the healthcare we provide.”

Positions are available at Ballad Health hospitals and care sites across the health system’s footprint, with jobs open in Kingsport, Johnson City and Bristol as well as Southwest Virginia.

Interested candidates should come prepared with a resume and any relevant certifications or licenses. Those who are unable to attend the event but are interested in applying for available positions can browse and apply for open positions at balladhealth.org/careers.
