Sixth annual Niswonger Children’s Hospital Radiothon raises $395,000

 JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – 12-year-old Patiance Gardner beamed with excitement when hospital leaders announced the total raised through the 2018 Niswonger Children’s Hospital’s Radiothon.

Patiance – a patient at the children’s hospital who gets monthly infusions due to an immune deficiency – asked for only one thing for her birthday, which was on Sunday, Feb. 25. She wanted people to donate to the radiothon to help kids just like her.

Audition dates, times announced for 2018’s ‘Broadway Comes to Greeneville’

Local kids will get a chance to perform with Broadway stars this spring.

Auditions have been set for the upcoming “Broadway Comes to Greeneville,” which raises awareness and support for Niswonger Children’s Hospital.

Beginning Feb. 19, auditions will take place across the region for children who want to be cast in the annual event, now in its seventh year. “Broadway Comes to Greeneville” is a production of the Ballad Health Foundation and presenting sponsor Consumer Credit Union. It’s a Broadway-style show featuring the youth talent selected at the upcoming auditions.

JOHNSON CITY AND KINGSPORT, Tenn. – The proposed merger between Mountain States Health Alliance and Wellmont Health System reached an important milestone on Tuesday with approval of the systems’ Certificate of Public Advantage (COPA) application by Tennessee officials.
