Ballad’s orthopedic residency program is a five-year program located at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tennessee, and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
The program provides orthopedic trainees with the clinical and surgical knowledge necessary for all aspects of orthopedic surgery.
For excellent medical training in a rural setting, Ballad features osteopathic family medicine and internal medicine residencies at community hospitals in Southwest Virginia:
Family medicine residency – Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap and Mountain View Regional Hospital in Norton, VA
Internal medicine residency – Norton Community Hospital in Norton, VA
To augment this training, our community hospitals work in conjunction with Ballad’s award-winning tertiary medical centers to provide well-rounded residency experiences.

- PGY1 pharmacy residency – Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, TN
