Chris Metzger, MD, returns to practice in Kingsport as part of Ballad Health CVA Heart Institute – Kingsport

Ballad Health CVA Heart Institute – Kingsport is pleased to announce the return of Chris Metzger, MD, to Kingsport.

Ballad Health has earned national recognition as one of the best cardiac and vascular programs, and I can say from firsthand experience that this recognition is well deserved.

Dr. Metzger earned degrees from Marshall University School of Medicine in Huntington, West Virginia, and Bethany College in Bethany, West Virginia. He completed both his internship in internal medicine and his cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He specializes in advanced coronary interventions, carotid stenting and a wide range of endovascular procedures for the treatment of vascular disease, clinical research and teaching activities – including live case transmissions to major cardiovascular conferences.
