Ballad Health to host hiring event at Johnson City Medical Center on Sept. 17

Those considering a career in healthcare are invited to Johnson City Medical Center’s next hiring event on Thursday, Sept. 17, from noon to 4 p.m.

Job seekers should bring a resume and prepare for interviews. Positions being sought include registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, nursing assistants, occupational therapists, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, medical technologists, sterile processing technicians and a variety of other clinical and nonclinical positions.

Those interested should enter the facility through the hospital’s main entrance (not the emergency department), where they will be guided to the seventh floor for interviews with hiring managers.

“Johnson City Medical Center is entering an exciting period of growth, both for our facility and our team, and we are looking forward to welcoming new members to our team,” said Rebecca Beck, chief executive officer of Johnson City Medical Center. “It takes a lot of hands to deliver the quality, compassionate care our patients deserve, so filling these key positions is essential to continuing to meet our community’s needs.”

Ballad Health offers competitive pay and benefits in addition to opportunities for professional growth and development. The Ballad Health benefits package includes medical, dental and vision insurance, prescription drug coverage, short-term and long-term disability, a health savings account, a retirement plan, a flexible spending account and counseling.

Team members can also enroll in various voluntary benefits such as critical illness, accident, disability and pet insurance plans as well as group discounts at many local, regional and national retailers.

Ballad Health team members also enjoy a discounted rate at all of Ballad Health’s Center for Early Learning childcare facilities. Johnson City-based team members can enroll at the Johnson City Center for Early Learning, which offers reliable childcare from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. every weekday of the year for children 6 weeks to 5 years old. All children enrolled at the center benefit from an evidence-based curriculum designed to ensure that its students are kindergarten-ready.

Positions are also available at Ballad Health hospitals, clinician offices and other care sites across the Appalachian Highlands. Those who are unable to attend the event but are still interested in applying for available positions can browse and apply for open positions on our Careers page.
