Virtual Urgent Care FAQs

Ballad Health has a fully dedicated telehealth staff consisting of nurse practitioners and physician assistants who are prepared to read your responses and reply with a treatment plan. Our telehealth team is supervised by an MD.

You can use our virtual urgent care for minor injuries or conditions. If your condition cannot be treated online, we’ll refund the money from your visit. If you live in our service area, we offer in-person urgent and primary care options to help you get back on the mend.

Non-video visits are a $30 flat fee and we do not bill insurance. If you don't have insurance, no problem – you'll only pay the flat fee.

Video visits are a $49 self-pay flat fee, which you can pay out of pocket or, if you have insurance, the co-pay toward your deductible. Contact your insurance provider for details on coverage and associated fees.

You can pay with a credit card or a health savings account (HSA) card.

You are responsible for the cost of any prescriptions, over-the-counter treatments, or follow-up visits you may need related to medications. And if your condition can't be treated online, you won’t have to pay anything.

We do our best to treat you online through our digital urgent care, but not every condition can be treated through online visits. If your health concern cannot be addressed through a virtual visit, you may be directed to a clinic for care. If this is the case, you will not be charged for the online visit.

Your health information is completely private through our non-video visit service. All the information you provide is encrypted and protected. Our Terms of Service gives more information on how we protect the personal information provided through non-video visits.

There is a checkbox you can select to request a doctor’s note during your no video telehealth visit. When using the on-camera, video chat option, be sure to ask your provider for a doctor’s note. If applicable, we would be happy to provide you with one.
