Marsh Regional Blood Center ready for Fun Fest Block Party blood drive

Marsh Regional Blood Center’s Fun Fest Block Party Blood Drive will be held Saturday, July 12, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Marsh Regional Blood Center, 111 W. Stone Drive, Kingsport.

Every donor will earn an exclusive Hot Air Balloon Rally T-shirt and a 28-ounce tumbler. Walk-ins are welcome.

Donations received through Marsh Regional stay in the Appalachian Highlands to help local patients and are used in emergency and life-threatening situations.

To give blood, donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. People with a cold, sore throat, fever, flu or fever blisters or those who are taking antibiotics are not eligible to donate. Donors should eat a well-balanced meal before giving blood.
