Holston Valley Medical Center to host community open house on Sept. 10

Holston Valley Medical Center invites the community to a special Open House event on Thursday, Sept. 10, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the hospital’s main lobby. The event will give community members an opportunity to meet the hospital’s new CEO, Kevin Rinks, and the team members who provide care, as well as learn more about services and explore the latest medical technology and innovation.

“We’re excited to welcome our neighbors through our doors and give them a closer look at the people and services that make Holston Valley such an important part of this community,” said Rinks, who became CEO of Holston Valley and Indian Path Community Hospital in March 2026. “Our team works every day to provide high-quality care close to home, and this event is a great opportunity for our community to meet the people behind that care.”

During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with healthcare professionals from a variety of departments, including emergency services, surgical care, heart and vascular services, women’s health, imaging and more. Team members will be available to share information, answer questions and highlight the care available close to home. Recruiters also will be available for anyone interested in learning more about career opportunities at Holston Valley.

“Holston Valley has a long history of caring for the people of Kingsport and the surrounding region,” Rinks said. “We want this Open House to be a welcoming opportunity for families, friends and neighbors to see the innovation happening here and learn more about the many ways our team is working to improve health across our community.”
