Center for Early Learning to host open house and childcare financial aid application assistance for Virginians

Families living in Virginia with children up to five years of age are invited to an onsite financial aid application support session and open house at Ballad Health Center for Early Learning – Abingdon on Saturday, May 3.

The event, which will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., will provide:

  • Personalized assistance in completing applications for Virginia’s Child Care Subsidy Program waitlist
  • Guided tours of the center’s early-learning classrooms and playgrounds
  • Prize drawing for a family getaway to Dollywood (no purchase or application required)

Families wishing to apply for assistance must bring:

  • Proof of the child’s U.S. citizenship or legal residency (birth certificate, U.S. passport or immigration documentation)
  • Current immunization record or physician-signed form
  • Household income verification (recent pay stubs, most-recent tax return or official benefits letter)

Entry forms for the Dollywood drawing will be available onsite. The winner will be announced on May 5.

Virginia’s Child Care Subsidy Program offers financial assistance to eligible families with children under 13 who are unable to attend public school.
