Woodridge Hospital Inpatient Acute Detoxification

Poplar Unit is a 26-bed inpatient treatment unit dedicated to providing acute detoxification from chemicals, while being medically supervised. Daily group therapy is provided on the unit in addition to off unit activity therapies. The treatment includes introduction to 12-step meetings, cognitive behavioral health therapy, individual, marital, and family therapy.

The treatment team is led by the attending physician Dr. Hetal Brahmbhatt, and consists of nurse practioners, registered nurses, therapists, discharge planners, and behavioral health technicians. The detoxification process includes medications to help patients cope with withdrawals, and to aid them to be as comfortable as possible while going through this process. Patients are allowed visitation at designated times, which will be provided in the handbook provided on admission, along with other important unit specific information.

Woodridge Hospital Intensive Outpatient Program

The Woodridge Hospital Intensive Outpatient Program provides intensive support and focused treatment when traditional outpatient treatment is not enough.  We offer a combination of psychotherapy, education and medication management. This program is also designed for individuals who are just transitioning out of inpatient care. Groups are provided three days a week for three hours at a time for approximately 6-8 weeks. The treatment plan is developed by a devoted and specialized behavioral health treatment team in partnership with the client.
Addiction Recovery is also addressed by our Intensive Outpatient Program and is designed for individuals who have significant problems with alcohol, drugs and other addictions.  The treatment philosophy embraces abstinence and the 12-Step Recovery Model.

The Woodridge Hospital Intensive Outpatient Program offers two different groups to accommodate client schedules. There is a morning group that meets Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00am-12:00pm and an evening group that meets Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4:00pm-7:00pm. These groups target both mental health and substance abuse issues.
The treatment team consists of two full-time master’s level therapists, a RN case manager and a psychiatrist that oversees all admissions, psychiatric evaluations and medication management.
