Expanding our reach into Virginia

In 2026, with the help of generous philanthropic partners and state grant funding, Strong Futures plans to open a new location in Southwest Virginia. This new site will be located at the former Mountain View Regional Hospital in Norton, Virginia.

The expanded location will allow Strong Futures to offer more services, including multiple levels of residential care. These services will follow the guidelines set by the American Society of Addiction Medicine.

Build a brighter tomorrow

Originally established in 2020 in Greeneville, Tennessee, Strong Futures surrounds women with steady support, helping them deliver healthier babies, rebuild their confidence, and return home with a strong support network.

Families across Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia face substance use challenges, financial stress and complex family situations. In Tennessee, more than 680 families have received care as part of our program. Through the efforts of Strong Futures, 431 individuals were given the opportunity to receive care instead of facing jail time. Together, this has led to 13,363 days – or about 36 years – spent in treatment and recovery, focusing on healing and positive change.

Strong Futures is expanding to Southwest Virginia in 2026 to ensure that more families can access recovery support close to home.
