Nursing Student Loan Assistance Program

Student loan assistance for new graduate RNs and LPNs

The Ballad Health student loan assistance program is designed to help employed new grad registered nurses and licensed practical nurses in the repayment of their student loans.

We offer a service agreement that starts when you begin working full-time for Ballad Health and have acquired your nursing license.

New graduate RNs and LPNs must apply for Ballad Health Student Loan Assistance within 6 months of graduation from their nursing program.

Student loan assistance schedule

Following employment with Ballad Health as a newly graduated registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, payments made toward student loan balances will proceed as follows:

  • At the end of 12 months of full-time employment at Ballad Health and after achieving RN / LPN licensure, a payment of up to $5,000 will be made toward the balance of your student loans.
  • At the end of every 12-month employment service period thereafter, another payment of up to $5,000 will be processed.
  • Payments from this program will end once the maximum benefit for your program has been met.

Nursing student scholarships

Ballad Health also offers a scholarship program to assist students financially once they are accepted into a nursing program.

Students are eligible to apply once accepted into an accredited RN / LPN program. The program helps pay the cost of your tuition with the agreement that you work for Ballad Health after your graduation. Your work commitment is based on the amount of money you receive in financial assistance.
