Physician Profile

I have always felt that God led me to become a doctor. It was a calling for me, and I love taking care of women from birth to menopause. I also enjoy the mix of surgery and primary care in this specialty. Listening to my patients and obtaining their history is the cornerstone of diagnosis. All patients should be involved in their health management. As a physician, I’m building a relationship with each patient, and we need to be able to trust each other. I treat them the way I would my family and how God would want me to treat others. As a native of this region, I love the beautiful mountains and the people I grew up around. I have two wonderful parents: my father was a coal miner, and my mother was a postmaster. My brother and sister each have two children whom I love like my own. Away from the office, my favorite thing to do is trail walk with my Goldendoodle, Maggie. She brings me so much joy, and she is currently training to be a therapy dog. I also enjoy gardening, playing the piano and spending time with my family. I am actively involved in the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the International Society for Female Pelvic Pain, and the Tennessee Medical Association.
