Compliance
We comply with federal and state requirements for federally funded health care programs. The federal government requires us to notify you of the requirements that apply when ordering tests for which Medicare or Medicaid reimbursement is sought.
Only medically necessary tests for each patient should be ordered. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Inspector General, takes the position that the physician who orders medically unnecessary tests may be subject to civil penalties.
